नई दिल्ली :-नागालैंड में सुरक्षा बलों द्वारा कम से कम 14 नागरिकों की हत्या के कुछ दिनों बाद, सशस्त्र बलों (विशेष शक्तियां) [AFSPA] को निरस्त करने की मांग मंगलवार को भी जारी रही। जबकि नेशनल पीपुल्स पार्टी के नेता (एनपीपी) और मेघालय के सांसद अगाथा संगमा ने संसद में मांग की, नागालैंड कैबिनेट ने एक बैठक में फैसला किया कि वह केंद्र सरकार को लिखेगी और कानून को निरस्त करने के लिए कहेगी।
अगाथा संगमा, जिनके भाई कोनराड संगमा मेघालय के मुख्यमंत्री हैं, ने संसद में कहा कि यह समय है कि “कमरे में हाथी को संबोधित किया जाए” और “कठोर” AFSPA को निरस्त किया जाए। मेघालय के मुख्यमंत्री और नागालैंड के उनके समकक्ष नेफ्यू रियो पहले ही कानून को वापस लेने के लिए कह चुके है

उन्होंने कहा कि यह पहली बार नहीं है कि इस तरह की घटना हुई है जिसमें निर्दोष नागरिकों को अफस्पा जैसे “कठोर कानूनों” का खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ा।
यह हमें 2000 में मणिपुर में इंफाल में हुई एक घटना की भी याद दिलाता है, जिसे मालोम नरसंहार के रूप में जाना जाता है जिसमें 10 से अधिक नागरिक मारे गए थे और इसने 28 वर्षीय इरोम शर्मिला को 16 साल की उम्र में जाने के लिए प्रेरित किया था। -लंबी भूख हड़ताल, ”संगमा ने कहा।
उन्होंने कहा कि विभिन्न राजनीतिक नेताओं ने पार्टी लाइन से हटकर इस मुद्दे पर बात की और सोमवार को इसकी निंदा की। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने घटना के संबंध में एक बयान दिया और सदन को सूचित किया कि एक विशेष जांच दल (एसआईटी) इस मामले की जांच करेगा।
