वरिष्ठ रक्षा अधिकारियों को ले जा रहा सेना का हेलीकॉप्टर तमिलनाडु में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त, 4 के मारे जाने की आशंका

NV news ब्रेकिंग न्यूज़ कोयंबटूर : निकट के पहाड़ी नीलगिरी जिले में कुन्नूर के पास बुधवार को सेना का एक हेलीकॉप्टर ‘शीर्ष’ अधिकारियों सहित लगभग 3-4 वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को लेकर दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया. पुलिस सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी.

उन्होंने बताया कि हेलिकॉप्टर सुलूर वायुसेना अड्डे से वेलिंगटन में रक्षा सेवा कॉलेज (डीएससी) की ओर जा रहा था, तभी दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया।

भारी धुंध के बीच नानजप्पनचथिराम इलाके में यह दुर्घटना हुई और शुरुआती दृश्यों में हेलीकॉप्टर को आग की लपटों में दिखाया गया। संभावित हताहत या घायल होने पर तत्काल कोई जानकारी नहीं थी।

भारतीय वायुसेना ने ट्वीट किया, “सीडीएस जनरल बिपिन रावत के साथ एक IAF Mi-17V5 हेलीकॉप्टर आज तमिलनाडु के कुन्नूर के पास दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया। दुर्घटना के कारणों का पता लगाने के लिए एक जांच का आदेश दिया गया है।”

इस बीच रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से मुलाकात की और उन्हें हादसे की जानकारी दी।
