पहले किसान अपने पास मवेशियों के साथ एक मजबूत आर्थिक व्यवस्था बनाए रखते थे, मेलों में व्यापार करते थे, जो अब मौजूद नहीं है। कृषि उपकरणों ने मवेशियों की उपयोगिता लगभग समाप्त कर दी। पशुपालक व ग्रामीण मवेशियों को खुले में छोड़ने को मजबूर हैं। व्यापक विचार और विचार-विमर्श के बाद, हमने गौठान (मवेशी शेड) रखने और गाय का गोबर खरीदने का फैसला किया। इसने पशु मालिकों को अपने साथ या गौठान में गाय रखने के लिए राजी किया। इसने मवेशियों को फसल को नुकसान पहुंचाने और सड़कों पर बाहर निकलने से रोक दिया।

गौठान योजना को अर्थशास्त्र से जोड़ने के बाद यह हमारे लिए फायदेमंद साबित हुई है। यह ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था का पुनरुद्धार है और इसमें कोई अंतर्निहित राजनीति नहीं है। यह उनकी (भाजपा) कार्यशैली है जो ‘फूट डालो और राज करो’ से जुड़ी है और जनता का भावनात्मक रूप से शोषण करती है। पार्टी ने या तो भगवान राम या गाय के नाम पर वोट मांगा है।

मैं अपने स्कूल के दिनों से कृषि से जुड़ा हुआ हूं और इसमें लगा हुआ हूं। यह हमारे परिवार में पहले से ही था। मैंने एक ग्रामीण का जीवन जिया, जो हर स्थानीय और धार्मिक त्योहारों में उत्सुकता से शामिल होता था। मेरी भावनाएँ ग्रामीण जीवन से गहराई से जुड़ी हैं। हम खेती के मौसम में तड़के जागते थे।

पुरानी परंपराओं को सुधारने की जरूरत है। मूल्यवर्धन के साथ विभिन्न स्थानीय उत्पादों को राज्य के बाहर भेजा जा रहा है। ये सभी परंपराओं को पुनर्जीवित कर रहे हैं और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में व्यापारिक गतिविधियों का दायरा बढ़ा रहे हैं। हम पारंपरिक भोजन, खेल, विचार, जीवन शैली सहित अपनी संस्कृति को संरक्षित करने और उनके साथ रहने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।

क्या आपका राम वन गमन पथ राम के नाम पर एक प्रतियोगिता (भाजपा के साथ) का सुझाव नहीं दे रहा है?
हम किसी प्रतियोगिता में नहीं हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ में राम हमारी सदियों पुरानी संस्कृति में गहराई से समाए हुए हैं। भगवान राम की माता कौशल्या का जन्म स्थान रायपुर से कुछ दूर चांदखुरी में है। हमारे रिवाज में राम-राम परंपरा मौजूद है।

लेकिन क्या आप नरम हिंदुत्व का रुख नहीं अपना रहे हैं?
हिंदुत्व सावरकर द्वारा गढ़ा गया था और यह अवधारणा आक्रामकता, हिंसा और घृणा पर आधारित थी। जब वह जीवित था तब उसे अस्वीकार कर दिया गया था। वास्तव में हिंदू कौन है – करुणा दिखाने वाला व्यक्ति मित्रता, प्रेम, सहिष्णुता और सामाजिक सद्भाव में विश्वास करता है। सावरकर की हिंदुत्व की अवधारणा काम नहीं करेगी।
